Matthew T. Waters received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics from Baldwin-Wallace College in 1998, and his Juris Doctor degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2002. Mr. Waters was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 2002 and was admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in 2011. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Waters was employed in the chemical industry as an analytical chemist and also performed colon cancer research at Case Western Reserve University. Subsequent to law school, Mr. Waters was as an assistant county prosecutor for nine years. Mr. Waters' intellectual property practice focuses on all aspects of chemical patent prosecution including preparation and prosecution of patent applications, legal opinions involving patentability, validity and infringement; prior art searching and evaluations. Mr. Waters is a member of the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association.
